This customer contacted Peter about designing a mantelpiece surround that would conceal their heater. They wanted a Hampton-style mantel that would match the coastal decor of their Northern Beaches home. The addition of the VJ wall panelling completed the look.
After finding a Hampton-style mantle on Instagram, the owner of this Curl Curl home wanted a similar piece for their home office that would conceal the gas fireplace. With the rest of the home featuring coastal Hampton decor, it was fitting that the mantelpiece follow the same styling.
Peter was able to recreate a style that was very similar to the photo saved by the customer. To complete the look, Peter installed VJ wall panelling either side of the fireplace mantelpiece.
And finally, Peter added a faux stone surround to integrate the gas fireplace.
The transformation was spectacular.
